Thilakan has been finally suspended from AMMA.
The disciplinary committee of AMMA that met on Monday (March 1) morning decided to suspend the actor for making “unsubstantiated statements and provocative interviews” against the Association and its members.
The disciplinary committee president veteran actor TP Madhavan said that as of now Thilakan would not be accorded any member right until he appears before the committee before March 8. The decision was later ratified by a meeting of the available members of the executive committee.
Thilakan said AMMA had still not clarified what wrong he had committed. He said he was unmoved by the news of his suspension and said: “I have nothing to lose. Only AMMA would stand to lose by suspending me.”
Meanwhile Thilakan who refused to turn up at AMMA meet in Thiruvananthapuram, saying that he was shooting for his Hollywood film Dam 999, is out of that project. The director of the film Sohan Roy confirmed that Thilakan would not be a part of the film anymore. He has have received a notice from FEFCA stating that if Thilakan acted in the film, the association would boycott it.
