South Indian beauty Asin is likely to step in Katrina Kaif's shoes in Anurag Basu’s new Bollywood flick Khamoshi, starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role.
Katrina Kaif had walked out of the project recently as the director had signed on Priyanka Chopra as well. Asin has reportedly agreed to act in this film which will begin by August.
Meanwhile, some other reasons are also cited from Katrina's end for backing off from the project. Kat has reportedly got hold of the rights of the remake of a French film, which she is going to produce as well as act in. Due to a date crunch, she had to drop one of her films to accommodate this French film remake and she was not interested in any double heroine ventures.
