E scope International launched the audio of their film Ethirmarai at a simple function at the Sathyam Theatres this morning.
The event was attended by Vairamuthu the lyricist of the film apart from director Vasanth, Abirami Ramanathan,Swaminathan and Balu Mahendra.
The film's cast and crew were present in full attendance including the Mumbai based heroines Banusri and Shirina apart from new heroes Rakesh and Ajaykumar. The music director debuting is Murugan Mohan who is the brother of Anuradha Sriram the playsinger.
The film has been shot by cameraman Dinesh Kumar who has worked in Vasanth’s Satham Podathey earlier. In this film he uses a Red camera and a phantom camera together in the same film making it the first such in India. The producers have reportedly bought the cameras just for this film. The highlight of the event was the screening of one song shot in 1000 frames per seconds giving a slow motion effect.
Four songs and a trailer were screened of this suspense thriller about the personal life of a CBI officer. Before the screening of each song a clipping was shown which had views of a live audience who had been given the music prior to its launch. Vairamuthu was very pleased with this new concept of introducing the music to audiences to create publicity for the film. He also made a request to change the names of audio launches in future and call the events song release functions and not music releases since it was not just instruments and background scores but actual songs with lyrics that were launched at such functions.
The director cum producer of the film, G Arun was confident that his film would do well in all centres as fans would encourage good films whatever the genre. The audio event was attended by five winners of a contest conducted about the film who received the audio from the dignitaries.
