Asin is flying from Mumbai to Kumbakonam via Chennai on Sunday April 4. She will be starting the shoot of her new Vijay film from Monday April 5 at Kumbakonam.
The film is a remake of Siddique directed Bodyguard in Malayalam featuring Dileep and Nayanthara. In the Tamil remake Asin will do the role done by Nayanthara. The film has music by Vidyasagar.
Says director Siddique: “We are kick starting the film in Kumbakonam from April 5. After a few days we will shift to Karaikudi and later to Pollachi and a few parts in south Tamil Nadu. It will be a one month schedule during which we will complete some parts of the talkie portion and two songs.”
Asin will have Bhanu for make-up and Anu as her costume designer. Says Asin: “I ‘m eagerly looking forward to going back to small towns in TN like Karaikudi, Kumbakonam and Pollachi where I shot quite a few of my earlier films in Tamil.”
