Kalpathi S Aghoram’s AGS Entertainments, Vijay directed Madharasapattinam audio invite is innovative and informative. The invite comes in a cardboard box with the label- “A journey to Madharasapattinam”.
The contents inside the box are – an invitation card for the audio launch of the film, Photo cards of ‘People of Madharasapattinam’, a 3 paisa post card issued by India Postage of the 1940’s with the emblem of King of England, black and white pictures of landmark places in old Madras like Mount Road, Central Station, Mylapore Temple etc, a map of Madras town and a copper coin of one quarter Anna of that period.
In the invite itself a “Admit One”, theatre admission ticket used at the then famous and prestigious Elphinstone theatre is your invite for the audio launch to be launched by Kamal Hassan on April 4 Sunday at the Chennai Trade Centre.
The star cast of the film comprises of Arya, Amy Jackson, Nasser, late VMC Haneefa, Alexx O’Neil, MS Bhaskar and 20 others. Music of the film is by GV Prakash Kumar, Cinematography by Nirav Shah, Editing by Antony, Art by V Selva Kumar and make up by Pattanam Rasheed.
As per our sources GV Prakash will conduct a live performance of his songs in the film and top stars Arya, Piaa, Nisha Kothari will perform live for the select audiences.
Well done Vijay and team, the invite is a beautiful and educative first look at Madharasapattinam. The message is that the film is a period drama set in the 1930-40’s Madras.
